Can I keep receiving my UK pension while living in Tunisia?
Yes. Your UK State Pension continues to be paid to you if you live in Tunisia, though it is frozen at the rate you first receive abroad rather than rising each year as it does in the UK. Rules vary by individual, so we recommend checking your position with a UK-based pension and tax adviser before you move.
Do I need a residence permit to retire in Tunisia?
For a stay of more than 3 months, a residence permit is required. Our teams support you through this process and with the practical steps of settling in, so you can arrive with confidence.
How much does a care home in Tunisia cost?
As a guide, expect €1,500 to €2,500 a month (around £1,300 to £2,150) for one person and €2,000 to €3,500 (around £1,700 to £3,000) for a couple, depending on the residence and the services chosen. This is well below the cost of an equivalent care home in the UK.
